Schedule of Events for 2011
World Series of Poker Announced
Even though we are just a few months into 2011, the World Series of Poker schedule of events has been announced. This is one of the most prestigious and sought after poker tournaments so people are eager to get those details as soon as they can.

This will be the 42nd year of the event and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. The schedule does have some changes from previous years though to keep it improving any way that it can.

There will be 58 bracelet events that take place this year. There is also the introduction of a $25,000 heads up no limit Texas Hold Em tournament. However, in order to make room for it they have eliminated one from the event. There will no longer be the Six Handed no limit Hold Em this time around.

Last year the World Series of Poker introduced the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and it went over very well. It will be continued this year but it is going to take place in July along with the other competitions.

The date will be July 7th so that every one can enjoy their Fourth of July holiday.

There is a conflict with the schedule though that many players aren't happy about. Some of them may have to miss the Pot Limited Omaha World Championship due to the timing of the June 2nd $5,000 No Limit Home Em.

The fact that over 20% of the players would typically be in both events has created some issues. Those that follow the World Series of Poker on Twitter know all too well what has been going on.

However, most will agree that the schedule of events for the 2011 World Series of Poker is exciting, well laid out, and tried to be as accommodating as possible for all who may be involved. In the end it will be a very exciting match up with some of the best poker players in the world competing for the grand price of millions of dollars.

What remains a mystery right now though is who the players are going to be. That will all start to unfold throughout 2011 as the various poker tournaments are completed and there are winners that are able to secure their seat in this prestigious event. Chances are we will be seeing some familiar faces there!
